Overall Chinese meat production looks stagnant at best for past 4 years. Why has bean crush and bean imports exploded over same time frame? Are Chinese meat producers becoming less efficient? Are Chinese soybean production #'s way off, meaning that a much larger amount of imported soybeans are being used domestically for Tofu production, but it is counted as soybean crush. Then the #'s would fit, if we surmise that farmers switched a lot more HA's to corn production rather than soybean production over past 4 years.
